Cardstock calculator FAQ
How many sheets of cardstock do I need?
Divide the number of pieces you need by how many fit on one sheet, then round up. The calculator above does the fitting for you, including turning pieces sideways when that squeezes more onto the sheet.
How many place cards fit on a 12x12 sheet of cardstock?
7 folded place cards (3.5 x 4 inches flat) fit on a 12x12 sheet cut on a Cricut with 1/4 inch between pieces.
How many 2-inch circles or squares fit on a 12x12 sheet?
25 two-inch pieces fit on a 12x12 sheet with 1/4 inch spacing and a 1/4 inch border.
What is the cut area on a 12x12 Cricut mat?
About 11.5 x 11.5 inches, which is why the calculator keeps a 1/4 inch border around a 12x12 sheet when you pick Cricut.
Should I buy extra cardstock?
Yes, add at least one spare sheet. Test cuts, a dull blade, or a sheet that shifts on the mat happen to all of us.
