Cricut Gift Card Holders That Are Almost Too Cute to Give Away

Cricut Gift Card Holders That Are Almost Too Cute to Give Away

Posted by Ashlee | Celebration Warehouse

Gift cards are a classic go-to for birthdays, graduations, holidays, and really any occasion where you want to give someone the gift of choice. But let's be honest -- handing over a plain envelope or a flimsy paper sleeve feels like a missed opportunity. You're a crafter. You have a Cricut. Let's make the presentation as exciting as the gift itself.

Today I'm sharing two of my absolute favorite gift card holder designs that we made live on YouTube: a beach-ready bogg bag holder overflowing with adorable summer accessories, and a travel suitcase holder that is perfect for any wanderer on your list. Both are made entirely from cardstock, and both are guaranteed to get a reaction.

What You'll Need

Before we get into it, here's your supply list. The good news: if you shop at Celebration Warehouse, you can grab everything you need in one place.

Cardstock colors used in these projects:

  • Light yellow
  • Yellow
  • Teal
  • Powder blue
  • Tan
  • Black
  • White
  • Cyan
  • Sky blue
  • Light pink
  • Bubblegum

We carry all of these and 100+ more colors, shades, and textures. If you want your holders to look exactly like mine, shop the summer escape variety pack here.

Other supplies:

  • Cricut machine (any model works!)
  • Cricut cutting mat
  • Basic Cricut hand tools (weeder, scraper, spatula)
  • Adhesive (liquid glue or tape runner)
  • The SVG cut files (linked below!)

Design #1: The Beach Bogg Bag Gift Card Holder

If you know someone who lives for summer, this one is for them. The design is a mini version of the wildly popular bogg bag -- complete with the signature hole-punch sides -- and it opens up to hold a gift card inside. The really fun part is what goes ON TOP: flip flops, a tumbler with a straw, oversized sunglasses, and a little sunscreen bottle, all cut from cardstock and layered together.

Cardstock colors for this design: light pink and bubblegum for the bag body, teal and cyan for the flip flops and tumbler, black and light pink for the sunglasses, yellow and light yellow for the sunscreen bottle, and tan for the background layer peeking through.

The layering on this one is what makes it special. Each little accessory is its own mini assembly -- you build them separately and then nestle them into the top of the bag for that overflowing, packed-for-the-beach look. Take your time with the adhesive on the small pieces and let everything dry fully before you assemble the final holder.

Pro tip: Use a liquid glue like ArtGlitter Glue for the tiny detail pieces (the sunscreen label cutout, the sunglasses frames) and a tape runner for the larger flat surfaces of the bag. It gives you more control where you need it.

Design #2: The Travel Suitcase Gift Card Holder

This one stopped me in my tracks when I saw it come together. The suitcase is made in sky blue and powder blue, with gold mirror buckle details that give it that polished, luggage-tag look. The front features a circular stamp-style element that reads "Time to Travel" with a little airplane in the center -- and yes, it is just as adorable in person as it looks in the photo.

The suitcase opens like a book to reveal the slot where the gift card slides right in. It even has little strap details along the sides and a top handle that make it look like a real (tiny) piece of luggage.

Cardstock colors for this design: sky blue and powder blue for the main suitcase body, and gold mirror for the gold buckle and handle accents.

Pro tip: Score your fold lines before assembling. It makes a huge difference on the clean, crisp look of the finished suitcase. A Cricut scoring stylus or scoring wheel works perfectly here.

Watch Us Make Them Live

Want to see the full build process? We made both of these on a recent YouTube live and you can watch the full replay on the Celebration Warehouse YouTube channel. I walk through every step, share tips for getting clean cuts on the small detail pieces, and show you exactly how to assemble both holders from start to finish.

More Colors, More Possibilities

One of the best things about these designs is how customizable they are. Swap the bubblegum bag for a bright coral for a tropical vibe, go sage green for a more neutral aesthetic, or use kraft brown for a rustic look. The suitcase works beautifully in almost any color combination -- navy and gold feels luxe, blush and white feels romantic, and bright red and white feels classic.

At Celebration Warehouse, we carry 100+ colors of cardstock so you can mix, match, and make these your own. Browse the full collection here and find the perfect palette for your next gift card holder.
