What thickness of foam works?

2mm cuts cleanly with most machines. 3mm is more dimensional but you'll likely need a deep-point blade and slower cuts. Test on a scrap first.

Can I cut this from cardstock instead?

Yes — cardstock works fine if you don't need the foam dimension. Use 80 lb or heavier so it stands up.

How do I attach foam layers?

Hot glue or a strong craft adhesive (Aleene's Tacky Glue, E6000). School glue won't hold foam reliably.
